Today I was a little concerned I’d overeat at supper, so I’m an attempt to save myself from the scruples, all I had today was;
  • 4 Gummy supplements (medicine)
  • Juice at Breakfast
  • And a box of macaroni noodles at supper 175g (full meal I think, this amount would be quite normal for me, maybe even less than normal)
However, my dad added quite a bit too much butter in it. (So does this mean I ate more than the fast allows?) I felt like it was wrong, but I also did not try to stop him.

So my question is did I ruin the fast? I don’t really ‘feel’ full, just satisfied.

Currently working on it, I’m meeting with my priest tomorrow.

Ah ok. I sort of thought so. But when I tell myself ‘don’t worry, you’re scrupulous, you didn’t commit a mortal sin or offend God.’ I get doubts in my mind thinking that I ignored the Holy Spirit. So that leads me here to see what others think.

Perhaps I will also discuss this with my priest tomorrow.

Thank you for the quick replies. God Bless.

You may want to remove your last name from your profile for your own protection.

The name is fake. If you google Rusty Shackleford pictures of Dale Gribble from King of the Hill will come up. It’s not my real name though.
But thanks for telling me, because I thought for a second I used my real name.

You kept the fast and then some. Please do not give in to scruples. Talk to your priest. Mention that this caused you concern, and do what he tells you. I am quite confident he will tell you not to be so hard on yourself.

He has told me to go easy on myself, mostly because I have a past I really hate, and confessing it was pretty hard. And if constantly beat myself up over it.

But I’m glad to hear I kept the fast, thank you for the helpful reply, God Bless.
