Did I commit a mortal sin by unintentionally missing Sunday Mass?

Dear Sir:
I was visiting my son and family in CA. We had intentions to go to Mass in the morning but my granddaughter (12 months old) fell asleep just when we were about to get ready. So we decided to go to the 7:00PM Mass. Today too, we had to finish packing a big package to go to underprivileged relatives in our country. Suffice it to say it took longer to get this huge package ready and take it to the mailing place on time before the local store/mail place to close at 8:00PM. By the time we got done taping the package it was 6:55PM. Mass starts at 7PM. If we went we would have been very late for Mass - it took 15 minutes to get to the Church. And if we did go to Mass, the mailing place would have been closed by the time Mass was over. So knowing that it would be useless if we got to Church after the Gospel readings and Homily, we decided to go and mail our package instead. Did we commit a mortal sin in missing Mass in this circumstances?

Feeling guilty,
Rosarosal:(
