Hi everyone.
I am really ashamed to be asking these questions. But i am going to confession tonight and wanted to know some info before i go.
  1. Im a younger teen that found out what pornograghy is and found a easy outlet to it. I watched a little. I did not watch it to become aroused or lust for it. It was a pretty inoccent curiosity. I did choose to look at it and knew it gwas a pretty grave matter but did not know (and still cant findthe answer) if it was a mortal sin. Is this a mortal sin?
  2. If this is a mortal sin (which i think it is?) Do o i have to tell my priest all the details or will me confessing “i looked at things on the Internet i shouldnt have” absolve me of that sin?
  3. This might be a dumb question but is there a special protocol for confessing mortal sins?
I have decided that i am going to try harder not to fall into sin again seeing as how it has made me feel! This torment of feeling unworthy is not healthy or worth anything. Thank you all and God bless

  1. That is something for you to discern. The three conditions for mortal sin are grave matter, full knowledge, and deliberate consent. If in doubt, confess it.
  2. We are to confess our sins in kind and number. “I looked at pornography on the internet twice” is enough detail.
  3. No special protocol for mortal sins.
Good luck!
