Hello,
I know my last thread on here also dealt with stealing and I am very sure I am not a kleptomaniac, just a coincidence hehe…
So, my question/ situation is this:
My wife, 3 other friends and I were playing Cards Against Humanity(a card game where you try to fill in the blanks of silly statements and questions on one card using another set of cards with silly to vulgar suggestions on them in order to make the funniest pair) and the game comes with a set of blank cards to make up your own.
I got into the game and made up a card about abortion, at the time thinking it was funny to have as a card that could be played to fill in the blank. After I wrote it though I realised that this card would be in the game for as long as the people owned it and would be used numerous times. I felt bad for writting it, no one knew I had, and I slipped it in my pocket to take home so it couldn’t be used.
I brought the card home and put it in my nightstand. Did I commit a mortal sin by stealing the card? Did I do a good thing by removing it so it couldn’t be used? Should I confess what I did to a priest? Or am I just being paranoid? What you guys think?
P.S. I attend daily mass and withheld receiving communion as I wasn’t sure if I should receive or not…
