Did I lose my soul?

Hi I got a question,

Basically when I was younger I went to South America and got really sick and had nightsmare of demons, apparantly after selling my soul in a nightmare for 50 cents, and I woke up seeing money on the side of the TV, my brother said he put it there and it didnt add to 50 cents, am I just paranoid? I don’t if this is real, but can you sell your soul? Now thinking about it, I’m just being paranoid. I don’t think souls are tradable as they are in the hands of God, but what do you think?

Also something you might like…a little cruel… but it relates to the topic:

I assume that isn’t possible to own all those souls, or to even own souls.

If anyone “owns” a soul, it is God. The soul, or you’re “feeling of being I AM,” is eternal and is the only “part” of you that is Real, as distinct from existing, as does you body. The body is temporary, the Soul is Eternal and incorruptible.

As for thoughts and dreams, people live their lives as if beliefs, everything from the boogiman to religion, is Real. The test of reality is: “Does it change?” You will notice that everything temporal about you changes: size, shape, thoughts, where you live, what you wear, what you do, what you know and what you believe. These exist but are not Real in an absolute sense. But consider this: from your first breath to your last, your feeling of “I” or “I AM” never changes. That feeling is the doorway to the Soul which is incapable of being lost or saved because it IS. Knowing it completely is Bliss, Heaven, or the Beatific Vision. Don’t believe me; find out for yourself.
 
It was a nightmare, a dream, in your sleep. So, you didn’t commit a mortal sin. You can not commit any sin while your asleep, and not fully consious.

even if you can sell your soul, I don’t think you can do it in a dream. Especially when you are sick!! we have next to no control of what we dream about… or the “choices” we make in dreams. Maybe the devil caused this just to make you lose your peace.

If you are worried, just tell God that you dont want to actualy sell your soul to the devil, and then do something like the Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus… 🙂 or, you can bring this up in Confession and get the priest’s guidance.

But I don’t think you have anything to think about, personally.

I am probably misunderstanding you, but if when you say “These exist…” you are refering to the long list that preceded “…these…”, those being size,shape,thoughts etc, if that assumption is correct then the continuation of your arguement “…but are not Real in an absolute sense.” Would automatically deny Jesus in HIS humanity of size, shape, thought was “…not Real in an absolute sense…”. and that is heresy.
So, where did I misunderstand you?

It is impossible to sell one’s soul. The soul is directly attached to the body, the body and the soul are one. They only separate at death.

Exactly and then after death the Resurrected body is ‘reunited’ (not the right term I know) with the soul and endures eternal bliss…🙂 or ahem :eek:

If as you declare, “You didn’t misunderstand me…” then yes you are also declaring a heresy by insisting that the humanity of Jesus prevents HIM from being “real”, and therefore HE did not come to earth as a man.

As to losing your soul, I cannot declare, but to continue on the path of confusion you have established does not bode well for salvation.
 
You yourself has declared my “thinking” as accurate “…no you did not misunderstand me …”.

So, the fact that you declare I understand you, and yet you disagree, then you disagree with yourself.

HEy sorry to bump such an old thread.

I took your advice that it wasn’t possible to sell a soul and pretty much brushed it off however I found these two videos and I am concearned. I want to talk to a presit in confession when i come back from vacation. but I could really use some insight, i feel nervous.

Also I had bad thoughts of selling my soul in which I thought I did in addition to the dream. Generally when something scary happens to me i cant stop thinking about it, so i can guess why i had the thoughts that I sold my soul.

there is also people who claim they seen heaven and hell.
 
It is impossible for you to lose your soul. Your soul IS you. If you did not have a soul, you would be dead inside like a zombie with no thoughts or emotions. If you still have a personality and reason, you still have a soul. I think you just had a bad dream and there is no reason to worry. I hope that helps 🙂
