Did i masturbate or was it noctarl emmisons

Hello all

I recenytly think that I might have masturbated but I am not sure:confused:

I did it at night and I think that I woke up and did but it might have been a dream. I dont ember any pleasure but then again I dont know. I need to know wethier or not I sinned or not.:confused:

Any help would be nice
 
It sounds to me like you did not have full consent of the will because you were not fully conscious. However, you may have been. I don’t think anyone on here knows for sure. However, this is definitely something that I would bring up to your priest in confession. But don’t fear! Any sin can be forgiven though the Sacrament of Reconciliation!

If you do not know whether or not you sinned, then you did not sin. 🙂

You might have been masturbating in your sleep which, if that is the case, then you could not have given full consent (which is required for sin). If it were only a wet dream, then you would not be culpable, as with any other wet dream.
 
well i ask beacuse I I need to know wether or not i can have euchariust I want to make sure I am not in a state of mortal sin

It does not sound like you are in a state of mortal sin to me. If it makes you feel any better, ask your priest about it. 🙂
 
Bring it in confession. It doesn’t sound mortal to me, although there is theoretically some possibility of doing something and forgetting it. But forgetting doesn’t happen because your recollection is faulty, but rather because you do not memorise the event. If you don’t remember it, you most likely didn’t fully consent, even if you actually did it, because your mind was half-off. Or more than half. If this gives you trouble, go to a priest, or already go to confession and bring this up, but tell it like it was. Courage! Don’t let it split you from God. The devil sends us scrupples and sets such traps on us. Don’t expect any fair play from him. Now don’t let it make you wallow in misery - go to a priest and be done with it.
