All right, thank you so much for this reply. Excellent work!

All right, I want to add a bit more to my earlier reply. I really want you to understand my issue. Its something similar to this: Say you’re thinking of washing the dishes like “Should I wash the Dishes today?” and that thought keeps on coming back through out the day. Thats very similar to my issue except its “Should I sell my soul?”. When the thought comes back I try fighting it and trying to keep it out of my head.

So what you’re saying is that I should tell the priest that I’m having occult thoughts? Wouldn’t you think of it as a bit weird coming from a 13 year old boy?
Ahhh okay that helps to clarify some things about it. I think what maybe is at issue is the content of one’s thoughts. If you find yourself with oppressive thoughts there are things that you can do to combat them. Maybe look at a crucifix and meditate upon it. Pray while those thoughts are running inside your head. Realize that we are not our thoughts. I practice with God’s grace short prayer or Mind in the Heart prayer. I can explain this in a subsequent post should you be interested. It helps to combat the oppressive thoughts because one is in prayer and considering God.

I would let the priest know that you have been struggling with an oppressive thought that brings you much dispeace namely that one “should you sell your soul to the devil” thought and that you are struggling in trying to displace this thought. Is this a sin in and of itself, I am not sure, but it sure sounds like its an affliction. And the longer I have been involved in delieverance ministries I see younger and younger people getting mixed with the occult, so no I don’t think its wierd. It’s the society we live in today, there’s so much occult influence out there.

God bless.

Thank you so much for all your posts and replies to this thread.

I got the thought completely out of my head for many months before and I think I can do it again. I mainly just stopped thinking about it and anything to it. I recently bought a few new video games so that should keep my mind off of things.

I don’t know how the thought came back this week but hopefully I can get rid of it again. I think I’m just making a fool out of my self. In other words I don’t think I’ll be returning to this thread again, because this is what revives the thought after forgetting about it.

Thank you so much for your posts and replies. 👍

You can’t sell your soul. It dosen’t belong to you. It belongs to God.

God bless

No, you can’t sell your soul, and you didn’t. But trying to is a mortal sin. I tried many times before I had a personal relationship with Christ. Very saddening :(:(:mad::mad:.

talk to your priest if you have concerns.

Not sure about selling one’s soul, but Satan tried to tempt Christ into worshiping him in exchange for all the nations of the world.

“Again the devil took him up into a very high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, And said to him: All these will I give thee, if falling down thou wilt adore me.”
-Matthew 4: 8-9
