Did Jesus go to India?

To be fair, we would no more accept a citation from the Qur’an as evidence as paars is likely to accept a quote from the Bible.

I think better evidence is that the Romans would break the legs of Crucificted criminals if they weren’t already dead…The whole blood and water thing (blood seperates into sebum when someone is dead) and accounts like that of Josephus.
Thanks,
but the point im trying to get across to paars is we refer to the bible, not the quran.

lol very funny!

What strange and very mixed metaphors one can come up with.

Pretty hard not too enjoy that type of comedy, i grew up with it.

Ive heard some good ones in my time, but that was a beauty…

Just imagine the levels of the surreal for those of us of a ‘certain background’ [ahem].

Well I’m only using my *jester paddles *now as I write. Later I’ll use my discussion tongs when I’m more serious.

How do you use wings to ‘pilot’ to find something ‘deep’ and ‘hidden’?

Maybe he’s really Irwin Allen subliminally promoting “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea”

With paars’s going in deep and hidden, i think it would be more of a Fantastic Voyage

Not Jesus. St Thomas, however, did go to India and preached and converted people. There have been Catholics in India since then.

Years ago I read a book called “Jesus Lived in India.” It basically posited that during Jesus’ young life (his lost years) he went and lived in India among Buddhist monks where he picked up much of his wisdom and knowledge. Once he reached a suitable level of maturity and wisdom he went back to Palestine and taught his message he learned from Buddhists.

According to this narrative he was crucified and brought down from the cross prior to physical death. The book claims that the preparation of the body as recorded in the Gospel of John actually shows that his followers knew he wasn’t dead and the oils, herbs, and incense rubbed over his body were a healing pultice and not meant to prepare a dead body for burial. From this we learn that the Shroud of Turin dates from the time of Jesus, but it was never intended to be a burial shroud but due to all the oils rubbed on the body shows a very alive, however incapacitated Jesus.

After several months of healing Jesus was secreted from Palestine to India where he lived out a very long and healthy life as a revered teacher, along with Mary. He was known as St. Issa among his followers in India. There he taught and performed more miracles – such as leaving his footprints in a stone. There he died at the ripe old age of 120 and was buried alongside his mother (interestingly enough even the fake tombs are both empty).

All this was shown to a Russian adventurer in a manuscript in some Buddhist monastery. Nobody since then ever saw the original writings and several scholars and other historians have debunked the whole made up affair. But, people to this day insist on speaking about Jesus’ time in India and treat it has a verified historical fact. In this narrative there is even room for the lost tribe of Israel taking up residence in Kashmir, passing on their genetic, liguistic and cultural heritage.

Fanciful and entertaining but not true by any stretch of the imagination.

Hi

You have got to see it yourself, make a deep study, put on the wings of research, be your own pilot, and then you may find it deep hidden under the outward literal words/texts/versions. Try it, if you please.
May GodAllahYHWH bless you with your deep study!

Thanks
Hello, paarsurrey ~

It’s a pleasure to speak with a Muslim, though at the moment I must disagree with you on the subject of our discussion. Here’s what the Catechism of the Catholic Church has to say about “the Church’s relationship with Muslims”:

"Those who have not yet received the Godpel are related to the [Catholic] People of God in various ways… The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day… The Catholic Church recognizes in other [non-Catholic] religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as ‘a preparation for the Gospel [of Jesus Christ] and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life.’ In their religious behavior, however, men also display the limits and errors that disfigure the image of God in them… To reunite all his children, scattered and led astray by sin, the Father willed to call the whole of humanity together into his Son’s Church. The [Catholic] Church is the place where humanity must rediscover its unity and salvation. The Church is the world reconciled" (pars. 839, 841, 843-845).

So, you see, we’re not so far from one another as it might at first seem. Yet, on this issue of Jesus’ supposed journey to India, we are miles apart. I would simply point out that the earliest and most reliable historical sources for the life of Jesus of Nazareth are the four gospels of the Christian New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Nearly all historical scholars (both Christian and non-Christian) agree on this. It’s not even a controversial point. And, according to those sources, Jesus was indeed crucified by the Romans, truly experienced physical death, was buried in a rock tomb near the ancient city of Jerusalem, was miraculously raised from the dead shortly after his burial, and ascended into heaven in the sight of many eyewitnesses. To deny these facts is simply to disregard the best and most accurate historical sources in existence on the life of Jesus

Dear Paarsurrey,

It is late for me to notice you as an Ahmadiah. I am sorry to use this thread to communicate to you outside the topic. I do care that your fellow Ahmadiah (our brother in the name of God) in Indonesia are deemed to be “divert” from Islam. They are persecuted and denied almost everywhere by fellow moslems (especially the hardliners). Many are expelled from their own homes and neighborhoods. Let us pray for them and their children who know nothing about this. I do not know much about Ahmadiah. Somehow it is different than mainstream Islam. I wish to have a discussion with you, definitely not in this thread.

Hi

Research and discussion would make us human beings closer to each other.

Thanks
