Did Jesus have brothers and sisters?

Show me one verse stating Mary absolutely gave birth to other children and I’ll convert to Protestanism.

Well, guys, this is a surprise. I started this thread Apr 3, 2012 and thought it had run its course months ago. I’ve been away from the forums for awhile and came back to find the discussion going again. Interesting comments. I’ll have to do some catch up.

But you know the response-right? They will provide verses stating “brothers” and “sisters” of Jesus,which has been debunked a million times over. Strange how Jesus having so many siblings and never once bothered to ask any of them, if they could take care of Mother Mary? Instead He asks John the Apostle? I find it a bit unorthodox by a very orthodox Jew named Jesus.

You are right about that. It would have been unthinkable for Jewish sons to fail to take care of their mother.
