Jesus revealed to us that He is devine. . . “He who has seen me has seen Him who sent me.” This is the Person you claim to be no more than a great prophet. Lets face it, He either was who He said He was or He was the biggest liar that ever walked the face of the earth. Jesus is God. He made this clear approximately 700years before Mohammand was even born. God Bless.

**The question here is not of suffering and pain. The christians are telling us that Muhammad was afraid and he was visited by the Satan in the cave. That during the first revelation, muhammad was afraid of the devil. It is the question of the fear. **
Do you not know your own religion? Who said Mohammed was afraid?

Narrated 'Aisha: (the mother of the faithful believers) …Then Allah’s Apostle returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely…They covered him till his fear was over…“I fear that something may happen to me.” …(Book #1, Hadith #3)~Bukhari

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:…I saw the angel who had come to me in the Hira Cave, and he was sitting on a chair in between the sky and the earth. **I was so frightened by him **that I fell on the ground and came to my family…(Book #54, Hadith #461)~Bukhari

Narrated 'Aisha:… Then Allah’s Apostle returned with the Inspiration, his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija…But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet became so sad as we have heard that **he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains **and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down…And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long, he would do as before, but when he used to reach the top of a mountain…(Book #87, Hadith #111)~Bukhari

Mohammed was going to kill himself even after Waraqa misinformed him of who it was that beat up Mohammed. The question of Mohammeds fear is established unless you will deny the hadith.
So I proposed the condition of Jesus when he was about to be arrested, how much he was afraid that he prayed all night and asked his friends also to pray so that the cup could be avoided.
You know my faith less than you know your own.
Please read all the previous posts to understand the discussion. I believe what you are saying and we understand it. Muhammad did more for the mankind than jesus could do in three years. In fact Jesus suffered much at the hands of his enemies and went away leaving his friends in disarray to be persecuted for three hundred years.
More words of wisdom from Mohammed to show his brand of mercy and justice (compare this to the adulterous woman in the Gospels):
There came to him (the Holy Prophet) a woman from Ghamid and said: Allah’s Messenger, I have committed adultery, so purify me. He (the Holy Prophet) turned her away. On the following day she said: Allah’s Messenger, Why do you turn me away? Perhaps, you turn me away as you turned away Ma’iz. By Allah, I have become pregnant. He said: Well, if you insist upon it, then go away until you give birth to (the child). When she was delivered she came with the child (wrapped) in a rag and said: Here is the child whom I have given birth to. He said: Go away and suckle him until you wean him. When she had weaned him, she came to him (the Holy Prophet) with the child who was holding a piece of bread in his hand. She said: Allah’s Apostle, here is he as I have weaned him and he eats food. He (the Holy Prophet) entrusted the child to one of the Muslims and then pronounced punishment. And she was put in a ditch up to her chest and he commanded people and they stoned her. Khalid b Walid came forward with a stone which he flung at her head and there spurted blood on the face of Khalid and so he abused her. Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) heard his (Khalid’s) curse that he had huried upon her. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Khalid, be gentle. By Him in Whose Hand is my life, she has made such a repentance that even if a wrongful tax-collector were to repent, he would have been forgiven. Then giving command regarding her, he prayed over her and she was buried. (Book #017, Hadith #4206)~Muslim

You are speculating, writing the Satan in place of the angel. Your last paras makes me write satan in place of Jesus every where in the bible. Because Jesus was tempted by the devil. Why did the devil dare to come near jesus?? There was definite weakness inJesus that is why he tried to temp him.
So the devil must have attached himself with Jesus for the rest of his unsuccessful life. That is according to your reading of the sacred scriptures. Then we see the devil being punished for his sins on the cross too. A man of God cannot be punished like that. Was it really Jesus on the cross or was it the devil who tempted Jesus?
By writing Satan in place of the angel you will be sining against even your own faith. The Quran states “Remember My Favour to you and to your mother when I supported you with Rûh-ul-Qudus “,(Quran-5:110) yet you say that it was satan who attached himself to Jesus. Are you saying that Ruh-ul-Qudus is satan? By the way, Ruh-ul-Qudus literally means the Holy Spirit.
Who is the father of Jesus according to the Quran? Doesn’t it say that Jesus’ is Ruh min Allah, or a Spirit from God? You cannot insult Jesus & claim it is” just according to our reading of the sacred scriptures”. These are your words, written by your free will & according to your choice. Either you are negating what your book said & you mean that the Quran is wrong , or you have just committed a great sin by blaspheming against the Holy Spirit. Which one is it? What about “wa gadelhum belaty heya ahsan”,( which means something like ’ be nice when debating’) or ‘lakum deenakum wa lee deeny’ ( you have your faith & I have mine ).

Dear Fellow Christian 🙂 and Muslim Brothers and Sisters, As-Salaam-O-Alikum! May Peace and Blessing with you all.

My Question is on Christianity. If Jesus is Son of God or God. Did he told about judgement day when exactly it will happened or when he will come to the world again for judge the world as you say so.Coz after all he is Son of God or God in your religion. Please explain

We Muslims Believes that Jesus PBUH is one of the Greatest Prophet whom Allah/God give him so many miracles perform with the will of Allah/God to their people and he will return to this world from Allah/God order. And rest i hope you know what our believes coz after all we are the fasting growing religion in the World.

Thank you very much. I am looking forward to see your point of view about this post.
Hi friends… am new to tis community and to tis thread… i would like to post a few of my opinions on the original concern in the thread… pls pardon me if i am goin off the current discussion 😃

According to the documentary hypothesis, Torah(the common ancestor for Christianity and Islam) had four possible sources, the most important being the Yahwistand Elohist.

Yahwist source corresponds to the one written by the tribes related to the kingdom of Judah (Christ being born in the tribe of Judah too), calls God by the personal name Yahweh (cognate with God the father).

The Elohist source which includes the creation narrative, Adam-Eve stories, etc. So Elohim (the distant God) is more cognate to the concept of Allah.

now regarding the question of the creator God, both Allah s referred to as the creator, and the Apostles’ Creed regards God the father as the creator of heaven and earth. Both might be possibly true, in the sense we consider creation as Evolutionary process, in which the highest (maybe equivalent to the Holy Spirit in the Christian trinity) be the Allah, and God the father is the perception of the human eyes, and Christ the Word using which Allah created the world.

tat solves the problem why Christ is not considered to be the Son of Allah… am not sure how much clear i had been in this explanation… comments pls…

(you have your faith & I have mine)…you only have this faith because your parents indoctrinated you at a few months old when they rushed to to be baptized into their faith. You had no free will. You are catholic by your parents choice. Muslims the same by tradition (parents choice) etc. If you were born to a Jewish family down the street your parents would have taught you that Jesus was not the son of God and you would have believed that. Religion is the great divider and it instills fear and ignorance in those that practice it. Your faith wasn’t your choice, its strictly a family tradition. Except for those educated people who at a mature age decide for themselves what faith they believe to follow, not what their parents forced down their throats from an early age.

First, sorry for such a late response to your post. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to visit the forum since some time now. Your post however, was full of assumptions & generalized stereotyping . You seem to assume that believers are only so because they have been indoctrinated since early infancy ( a few months!!!) by their parents. You also seem to assume that they are uneducated, and would sheepishly follow their family traditions. On what scientific basis exactly did you arrive to such a tired conclusion? Are there any statistical surveys which back your assumptions correlating religious faith, level of education, and intelligence in different cultures ? You have designated religion as the ‘great divider’ which instills fear…etc.,how then can you explain the display of the “them vs. us” attitude in such mundane fields as soccer in Europe for example, when mobs of fans of each team sometimes attack the other ‘fans’? How about wars & territorial disputes, ethnic & racial tensions?
If you want to discuss ‘great dividers’ you will have to go to studies of social interaction among chimpanzee groups, specially among males. They give a greater insight into the roots of territoriality & aggression among human communities. Religion should be the great ‘unifier’. Those who use it as an excuse to attack others are just as likely to use any other excuse to vent their aggression, even one as innocuous as sports.
Finally, your assertion that I had neither choice nor free will but am a Catholic because of what my parents pushed down my throat really made me laugh! There are three different denominations in my family background. All are Christian by choice. Faith was something I came into grips with since an early age. There were times when I had questions, when I even doubted, and it was through this process that my faith became strong; not because I had to gulp down what was pushed in my throat, nor was it part of an academic program which I earned along with a degree. Faith ,simply put, is a live vibrant relationship with a living God. To ascribe, or imply ignorance, to people of faith is simply to impose one’s own value judgments . Jumping into such sweeping generalized conclusions demonstrates the same lack of critical thinking you accuse believers of.

Hi

Jesus was only a humble servant and Messenger of God Allah. This is what we see from his life account. He got a message from God Allah which he was to deliver to the House of Israel. Only two tribes of the House of Israel were residing in Judea when he was selected for this job by God Allah; the rest ten tribes were mostly living in India and the neighboring countries. So Jesus obeyed God Allah.

The rest is narrated by **Second Coming **1835-1908:

Let it be noted that though Christians believe that Jesus (peace be on him) after his arrest through the betrayal by Judas Iscariot, and crucifixion – and resurrection – went to heaven, yet, from the Holy Bible, it appears that this belief of theirs is altogether wrong. Matthew (chapter 12, verse 40) says that just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the fish, so the Son of Man shall be three days and three nights in the bowels of the earth. Now it is clear that Jonah did not die in the belly of the fish; the utmost that happened was that he was in a swoon or a fit of fainting.

The holy books of God bear witness that Jonah, by the grace of God, remained alive in the belly of the fish, and came out alive; and his people ultimately accepted him. If then Jesus (on whom be peace) had died in the belly of the ‘fish’, what resemblance could there be between a dead man and the one who was alive, and how could a living one be compared with one dead?

The truth rather is, that as Jesus was a true prophet and as he knew that God, whose beloved he was, would save him from an accursed death, he made a prophecy in the form of a parable, revealed to him by God, in which he hinted that he would not die on the Cross, nor would he give up the ghost on the accursed wood; on the contrary, like the prophet Jonah, he would only pass through a state of swoon. In the parable he had also hinted that he would come out of the bowels of the earth and would then join the people and, like Jonah, would be honoured by them.

So this prophecy too was fulfilled; for Jesus, coming out of the bowels of the earth, went to his tribes who lived in the eastern countries, Kashmir and Tibet, etc. viz. the ten tribes of the Israelites who 721 years1 before Jesus, had been taken prisoner from Samaria by Shalmaneser, King of Assur, and had been taken away by him. Ultimately, these tribes came to India and settled in various parts of that country.

Jesus at all events must have made this journey; for the divine object underlying his advent was that he should meet the lost Jews who had settled in different parts of India; the reason being that these in fact were the lost sheep of Israel who had given up even their ancestral faith in these countries, and most of whom had adopted Buddhism, relapsing, gradually into idolatry. Dr. Bernier, on the authority of a number of learned people, states in his Travels that the Kashmiris in reality are Jews who in the time of the dispersal in the days of the King of Assur had migrated to this country.2

In any case it was necessary for Jesus (peace be on him) to find out the whereabouts of these lost sheep, who had, on coming to this country, India, become merged into the other people. I shall presently adduce evidence that Jesus (peace be on him) did in fact come to India and then, by stages, travelled to Kashmir, and discovered the lost sheep of Israel among the people who professed the Buddhist faith and that these people ultimately accepted him, just as the people of the prophet Jonah accepted Jonah.

And this was inevitable, for Jesus had said in so many words that he had been sent to the lost sheep of Israel.

Jesus is the Son of GOD and Jesus IS God. He is the Redeemer. The Savior. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The Word made Flesh. The Triune God. He is innocence and goodness. He is Love itself.

And he died for me.

There is no other.
Why should I believe in a false god?

My prayers for the conversion of all the muslims. Especially in this evil time when innocents are killed just because they are British or American or Israeli - or anything else the jihadi’s don’t like. Such evil and cruelty…

Hi

You are free to believe whatever you may believe; no compulsion.

Please do tell me God is love; nothing but love, all love, this my ears love to hear. But please don’t present in this age the face of a father killing his innocent son just for nothing.

Now for the period; was the Son always with the Father without a mother? Since when?

Thanks

Did the Son commit suicide or did the Father kill his son ??

Did the Romans help the Father by sacrificing the Son ?

But please don’t present in this age the face of a father killing his innocent son just for nothing

.
Jesus says no one takes his life from Him, but He gives it freely and for a reason. So you are attacking something we do not believe in the first place.
Now for the period; was the Son always with the Father without a mother? Since when?

As inJESUS points out, it was neither senseless killing nor suicide - it was something Christ willingly went to and with purpose. Scripture confirms this.

But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” [Matthew 26:52-54]

Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." [Luke 24:46-47]

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep." [John 10:11]

“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.” [John 10:14-15]

“Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” [John 10:17-18]

Also, no one is presenting it “in this age” - this was presented first and foremost in 33 AD 😉
Now for the period; was the Son always with the Father without a mother? Since when?
Christ was the only-begotten Son of God in the sense that He was the Incarnate Word. The Father is He who sent the Son to mankind by the free will of the Son, Who chose to be humbled to lift us back up to God.
