not nicely, perfectly, and the closer you stick to it and follow it and not mans religious system and dogma, the more closer to Jesus you become,He and God alone share the same glory with no one else in the middle
So in other words,Jesus did not found a Church, but rather gaves us a Bible?

Thank you all for you replies. I’ve really enjoyed following this and hope that all of you continue to discern the truth in History. Christ established His Church, entrusted it to the apostles and made Peter head. The faith has been passed down through the past 2 thousand years in an unbroken chain of successions. Pope Benedict XVI is now the leader. We pray that our separated brethren come home one day to the Catholic Church, founded by Christ.

AMEN!

*Despite the overwhelming scripture-based arguments Protestants will not acknowledge the compelling evidence that Jesus founded the Catholic Church. There is a stubbornness which I find hard to understand. If I were Protestant I would stop in my tracks and begin a serious investigation and prayer to get to the truth.

Yes. I’m happy that other Catholics recognize this irrational resistance to the truth. It’s fascinating, but boggles the mind now that I’ve learned the truth in scripture and history.

*Seriously jahluver - I promised myself that I would be good and charitable and gracious. When I come across a posting like yours I feel the need to defend the truth and I should. However, let’s face it, what you really need to do is to study history. Your comments on the Crusades demonstrates ignorance and as for the History of the Church you really need to do some serious study.

I recommend you read this entire thread with an open mind. When you get to the end, if you are honest, you might acknowledge that you are somewhat enlightened. When that happens PM me and comment.

God bless

I hear you and trust me I wish we could all be civil about this I just think that its to big and important to ignore, and I have studied the Crusades and know that Jesus’s Christians wouldnt do that, maybe under the Old Testament God had all inhabitants of his children Israels land destroyed but under the new law thanks to the great sacrifice of Jesus only,we are not to live like that anymore as followers of Christ, didnt Jesus heal the soldiers ear after Peter cut it off,the message Jesus brought was one of peace not one of war,he doesnt want us meddling in the affairs of the world because were supposed to be not of this world as He was.the Crusades is an example of man taking it upon themselves to play God,were the Crusades justifiable to you religously, politically?are you saying the Crusades werent religously motivated?I though Jesus said he came down to destroy that system of religous thinking and sadducces and pharisses and all that stuff that still haunts His church today, one last question,is God the same yesterday, today, and forever?and whats your take on the Crusades since I got it wrong

granted I didnt go through catachism, but what do they teach you about Peter thats so great,he constantly questioned Jesus, yes he had the most faith but its still rags,we have more faith now than he did then,It calls him a pebble petros,Jesus is the rock the foundation of faith and truth is the church not giving power back into the hands of corruptible man like man did,why not Paul, he was more popeworthy than Peter, and us people who choose not to be defined by denomination cant understand why people of would give up the freedom thats theres through Christ, religion is satan made to cause confusion among believers.Ive read your evidence for a pope and Mary and you should study the same scriptures from our understanding and background and history of the time and I think you might see it different.got to gotquestions.org and ask away about the questions that divide Christians amongst eachother
