Didn’t you know that He just showed them how to share, that those people weren’t *really * dead, and that the Ascension was just a myth that the Apostles came up with to give themselves credibility? C’mon, everyone knows that!just as he worked the miracle of the loaves and fishes, brought dead people back to life, and rose into the air at the Ascension.
No prob. Take care.JSmitty2005,thanks for putting that link in your sig.I just checked out the site and it looks very good for newer Catholics.God Bless.

I heard some commentary on EWTN radio Friday about this. The most likely answer is: If ice was common, why was the story recorded at all? Jesus did plenty of miracles, why record a “non-miracle” at all if it takes away from the credibility of the other miracle?
Personally, the writer must not have been a sailor. If the ice was solid, the boat would not have been moving. If it was just chunks floating around, then Jesus ould have sank under his own weight as the surface tension would be insuficient to suppport him.
Finallly, I think that the water was probably choppy and the story was not “Jesus surfing on the Sea of Gailee on Ice”.
Ice on the Sea of Gailee, sure thats possible. But not this time.
Just another attempt by the secular media to throw dis-credit

Several of the miracles may not be miracles at all - such as the treatment of the epileptic boy. Epilepsy is not caused by demons, but by damage to the brain; the evangelists had no way of knowing this, so a seeming miracle is treated as a genuine miracle. But even something that was mistakenly interpreted as a miracle, can be used to make a valid and important point about Jesus.
How many cases of epilepsy have been cured by somebody just simply giving a command? Matthew 8:28. “When he reached the country of Gadarenes on the other side, two demoniacs (or was it a coincidence that they both had epilepsy) came towards him out of the tombs—creatures so fierce that no one could pass that way. They stood there shouting. ‘What do you want with us, Son of God. Have you come here to torture us before the time?’ (How many incidents have there been of two epileptics walking around shouting “What do you want with us, Son of God?”)…..And he said to them ‘Go then and they came out'…." Medically or scientifically explain this please.
How many cases of paralysis have been cured by somebody telling that person to stand up and walk? Maybe this man just got a cramp may years before and was simply afraid to walk and Jesus convinced him that there was nothing wrong and using psycholgy convinced him to stand up and walk.
