Did Jesus write the Bible or build a church?

…if Jesus had wanted to leave some writings behind He would have invented the printing press but instead He left a magic chair…and whomever sits in that Chair speaks for Him under certain circumstances…that Chair is in Rome and the Bishop of Rome sits on that throne. By having a living breathing replica of Himself the Church He left behind was and has been able to change with the times in certain small things but not in any really important ones…ie Doctrine! Jesus warned He was not of this world, and His kingdom is not also…so that His followers must be aware to this fact and expect to be browbeaten, insulted, lampooned and generally crucified time and again…for His sake…witness the constant barrage of mean spirited books and flicks produced by the controlling elite…Vinci code nonsense etc…all the best…Nino
‘Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.’
(Acts 7:51)

What part did Jesus play in writing the Bible ?

It is His story, and no one tells it better than His Spirit. Jesus said, that the OT prophets testified of Him, the Apostles said that the Spirit of Christ was speaking through them when they prophecied. The prophecies are fulfilled.

I hope this helps a bit. Paarsurrey have you ever read the summary of the Scriptures that were given by St. Stephen at his death ?

Enjoy,

Hi

I was shocked, and I am still shocked when I saw on TV Buddha’s statue being blown up into pieces, like I am shocked when I see the civilized Americans throwing Atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Why did they do it?
and
Why did they do it?

Why, why, why, why - - - - - - ?
The A-bomb - to end the war quickly and save lives, even Japanese!

Read The Fight for Jerusalem (cited in my previous post). It’s heavily footnoted too.

Hi

So the American Christians dropped the Atomic Bomb on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki out of sheer **Love **of the inhabitants of these cities; yet they understand not!

The Christian Pilots ( I don’t know their denomination) while dropping the bombs must have said, “ From American Christians with Love”.

Thanks

Deuteronomy 18:20-22. “But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death.”
Because of his righteousness, Jesus prayers were heard, and he was saved from getting a cursed killing on Cross.
Hebrews 5:7 (NIV)
7During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was **heard **because of his reverent submission.

Hi paarsurrey,

Does this mean you don’t want to talk about Jesus, writing the bible, and building a church?

Shame on you for suggesting that America dropped the bomb on Japan as an act of christian love. (No doubt, you are alluding to the Israeli war on Hizbollah in Southern Lebanon, July 2006.)

I think you have answered dolphinlove’s question above; You don’t know anything about the history of WWII.

I’m waiting in vain for answers to dozens of posts, including most recently on who wrote the Koran.
A problem, as if our friend thinks that it’s a problem didn’t write the Gospels, it’s a bigger problem that paarsuurrey’s prophet didn’t write the Quran.

I don’t know what emotive arguments they used.

However by ending the war QUICKLY, lo! and behold! they ended the war … wait for it… QUICKLY!

Less Japanese died than had the US invaded and spent another year bombing the (you know) out of Japanese cities. More allies of course, would have died (and this was probably their prime consideration). Not only those invovled in the invasion, but in Japanese PoW camps, too!.

Hey, this is probably the first time you’ve attempted to discuss something with me in ages.
