I have been doing some reading on Judaism. The Messiah was supposed to bring peace to the world ,Descended of the house of David, Bring all jews back to Israel , Rebuild the ancient temple in Jerusalem , unite humanity in the worship of the Jewish God and Torah Observance, Be an ordinary human being. If he didnt fullfill these things then why do we consider him our messiah?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:Im confused

Because of Jesus, the relationship between God and humanity that had been damaged has now been restored. While there isn’t peace among all men, there is ‘peace’ between God and humanity. Check!
Descended of the house of David
check…!
Bring all jews back to Israel
The children of God, who had been (in the past) only the Jews, is now all of humanity. All of humanity, then, is now able to attain to the Heavenly Jerusalem. Check!
Rebuild the ancient temple in Jerusalem
The temple was meant as the place in which God’s presence was on the earth and at which sacrifice to God would take place. The presence of Christ is now in every Catholic tabernacle on earth, and Jesus’ one sacrifice has made further sacrifice unnecessary. Check!
unite humanity in the worship of the Jewish God and Torah Observance
Humanity continues to approach this goal of unity. Jesus came not to eliminate the Law, but to perfect it. Check!
Be an ordinary human being.
Jesus is fully man. Check!
If he didnt fullfill these things then why do we consider him our messiah?
I would say that Jesus has fulfilled these things. Perhaps not in the ways that the Jews expected, but He has fulfilled them!

The Temple is Jesus body.

Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. Therefore, when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they came to believe the scripture and the word Jesus had spoken. (John 2:19-22)

Jesus’ “temple” was “rebuilt” in three days.

***Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit *within you, which you have from God? (1 Corinthians 6:19)

Your body is also a temple of the Holy Spirit. It will be rebilt some day, at the end of time when you are ressurected from the dead.

Who says? I’m not trying to be a flippant, I really would like to know why you think this is correct? You know, the Apostles at the time, that’s right then after the Resurrection, went around preaching to Jews, explaining how Jesus was the Messiah, how He fulfilled what was prophesied. Jews at the time converted in wholesale lots.

What you outlined is someone’s version of what they and some others think must be true. Before we defend Jesus as Messiah, maybe you could supply some evidence that what you said is actually correct and link us to some sources.

Although, I guess I’d have to comment that at the time Jesus was Incarnate, the Temple had already been rebuilt, so why would Jews at the time think that was still necessary?
