Did Judas go to hell?

Did Judas go to hell? I am wondering, since he was so upset after betraying Jesus and hung himself. I know that Jesus did say something to effect of "Woe to he who betrays the Son of God, for it would be better if he had never been born.
But maybe though God's divine mercy he forgave Judas?
