In matthew 27 3-6, the bible talks about Judus repenting for his sins. “And now Judas, his betrayer, was full of remorse at seeing him condemned, so that he brought back to the chief priests and elders their thirty pieces of silver; 4 I have sinned, he told them, in betraying the blood of an innocent man. What is that to us? they said. It concerns thee only. 5 Whereupon he left them, throwing down the pieces of silver there in the temple, and went and hanged himself.” He also seemed quite horrified and sorrowful for what happened as a result of his actions. Did he thus repent before he died? If so, could he have been in a stable state of mind when he committed suicide? Where would he ultimately end up? Heaven, since he repented or hell since he sinned? Sorry if the question seems odd or foolish, but it’s one that kind of bugged me and one I can’t seem to figure out.
