Did Mary the mother of the Lord,had to go through canonization?

Many churches bear the name of Saint Mary. Was she required to have done miracles?
 
The formal process of canonization wasn’t established until long after the Apostolic age, so short answer, no.

OTOH, we have of course the wedding at Cana as an example of a miracle occuring as a direct result of Mary’s intercession. (Which also reminds us that the notion is not that a saint “performs miracles” but that their prayers for miraculous intervention are answered - only God can perform a miracle.)
 
The canonization of St Ulric [890-973] by Pope John XV in 993 is the first recorded formal canonization.
 
Tam here. Thank you for your replies that clarify this point and help me answer questions that arise.
I understand numerous miracles have been attributed to the intercession of the Virgin Mary in different countries where she had apparitons and from where she is known as the Virgin of Lourdes,Virgin of Lujan,Virgin of Guadalupe, etc.It is always the Virgin Mary, taking different looks to be felt as part of the local people.

The most important fact to me is that Christ at the cross,wanted his mother to be “our”
spiritual mother.🙂
