Did Mel Gibson ever get an apology from the hand-wringers?

I was wondering if anybody knew if Mel Gibson received an apology from all the hand-wringers who predicted doom and gloom and violence against Jews if the “Passion of Christ” was released?

I can find no instance of anything remotely resembling their predictions so I would have thought an apology would be forthcoming. Mel should be admired for his steadfastness in the face of such overwhelming adversity.

If I had been one of those cry babies I think I’d be ashamed right about now.

Anyone have any information regarding this?

The Catholic League has been following the issue, and has been asking the same question you did. So far, there have been no reports of corrections, retractions, or apologies. Surprised?

No, I’m not surprised. I did think the Jewish Defense League was would have said something but I guess they aren’t what they once were.

None of them have predicted the rise of antiamericanism and the death of thousands of Americans because of Michael Moore’s new movie. Obviously they have learned their lesson about making such predictions. :rolleyes:

What I am expecting is that they will focus on so-called “hate crime” statistics for this year, and then come out with them early next year to attempt to prove their prediction was correct about Mel Gibson’s movie. That is what I expect because I can’t see the Jews sitting around resigned to the humilation of being so wrong. And they are SO wrong!

Let’s leave “the Jews” out of it, and focus on people and organisations who may have been out of line. Is Michael Medved one of “the Jews”? He was pretty supportive of the film.

No one owed that wacko an apology, his movie wasn’t even based on biblical accounts and it was offensive to me and I’m not Jewish, his need to dwell on the scourging at the pillar indicates that he is one sick man, I’m glad that his movie came and went and I won’t support his career in ANY way!
It’s his father who was anti-Jewish and he never refuted his father’s disgusting comment but “I” refute them and I wish that old goat would keep his mouth shut!
