I just watched the movie Bernadette, where the visionary Bernadette said that Mary laughed during some of her apparition scenes. Did this “laughing” really happened on the real historical accounts?

I do not think so. From what I remember reading, she smiled at Bernadette not laugh.

Of all the things to idly speculate on … I really don’t think it matters in the least one way or 'tother.

I recently read the full story of Our Lady of Pontmain, and it is clear that she laughed there and even sang along with the crowd, swaying to the beat of their songs! Honestly, that’s a hard image to get out of the head. Of course Mary must have laughed–and Jesus too–in real life. But usually when she appears she is more solemn than not.
