Gary Taylor he died and was neither assumed or ascend. McCartney may even be correct. As we weren’t there we’ll never know until all things are made clear. Strangely though I thought his words echoed from something said in the koran.

I should have put a LOL at the end to subdue the situation. On a serious note, I believe (and I may be wrong) that Mohammed was poisoned by his slave girl because he killed her husband. His friend died immediately but he lived a few years with the poison in him. According to Muslims he ascended into heaven.
 I heard the same thing. I believe the poison part. 🙂 I don’t know about the being assumed part. 🤷

Right, mere mortal, died and was buried. My thinking also. I do think just the idea of assumed has a very strong appeal to it though. I never heard the actual story of this. But I have heard the; “he was poisoned part”. Is that the more historic version, and the assumed part is more of “pious” tradition?

But this is under the Non Catholic part of the forum, if we went by this, this part of the forum will be empty.
True. Plus it’s more asking the few Muslim users “Do you believe Muhammed physically floated upward into heaven or just transcended out of this plane and into the spiritual one? Because it’s kind of hard for me, a Christian, to tell based on initial reading of the passage concerning it.”

Yes, to Christians he would have just died. But this is a question directed to Muslims about Muslim theology and is best answered by a Muslim.

Muhammed died - he is buried in Medina

Muhammad is buried in the Al-Masjid al-Nabawi (“Mosque of the Prophet”) in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia. Muhammad’s grave lies within the confines of what used to be his wife Aisha’s and his house. During his lifetime it adjoined the mosque, which was expanded during the reign of Caliph al-Walid I to include his tomb.[2] Muhammad is buried next to the first two caliphs, Abu Bakr and Umar. Umar was gifted a spot next to Muhammad by his wife Aisha, which she had intended for herself.

I encourge all to treat non catholic members with respect -almost a billion Moslems exist in the world

Well?

Thanks in advance!
Muhammed was ascend with His body to not merely only Heavens but to a place where nobody could go althoug Jibril(Gabriel). that is Sunna thought.

That is not so wild as much as to assume a prophet/man to be God!

You were not near Jesus and you did not see Him. so how can you think That Jesus was God! He lived just only like a man.You are very adventurous.

Muhammed was ascended and then come back again with his body. And then He died . That is much good than to go and did not come back again!

Muhammed was took to Jerusalem from Mecca and then He was ascended to Heavens with His body. Muhammed saw Jesus, Moses, Abraham and all other prophets in Heavens. He saw Hell too. Muhammed view all categories of entity. Also He saw and view God(we cannot understand property of that). And all that things occured in a very short time. that is a very big miracle.

Here is a view on Mohammed’s death:

You must be respectful! That is not funny. Muhammed was a prophet and everyone must be careful when they talk about him. Muslims never do such hateful things about Jesus and about other prophets. Muslims do not think Jesus was God but Muslims never disrespect. And ıf Muhammed is a prophet( for unbeliever) then everyone has responsibility maybe they could be charge about that.

Muhammed had killed only one man and that was Ubay b. Halaf. Muhammed was poisoned by a Jews woman.

God determined a period of life for every one. When that time is over for someone he/she dies with a means(ilness, shoot, poison, knife, gun etc.)

God set a perid of time for Muhammed too because He was a man. But we do not know the exact means about death of Muhammed.

He died like the rest of us. Jesus Christ rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven because He IS God Incarnate. Mohammed was not and is not.
Muhammed was ascended before He was died and He could come back from there in a short time. That is very important. Jesus was ascended but He did not come back at once. He will come back later.

We do not consider muhammed as a prophet, to us he is a false prophet, and because we have been warned about false prophets, we do not respect him nor believe him.
You are disrespecting us when you state Jesus is not God, he is in fact part of the trinity which means he is the word of God.

hasantas, sound like the transfiguration. he visited all 7-heavens? Who recorded the revelation, any historic witness account?

-We do actually respect Muhammad. We respect Muhammad the same way we respect every other person. Such respect is inherent to every person because they were created by God.
-Simply stating what Islam teaches about Christ isn’t actually disrespectful. It’s what one should expect a follower of Islam to believe and state when talking about Christ.
-Now what would be disrespectful is if a Muslim created a youtube video in which he made a fake phone call to report the murder of Christ and then proceeded to tell Christians that he can disprove Christ by using the Bible and that for any Christians who haven’t actually read the Bible “Mu ha ha ha” (fake “I got you” laugh).

So you respect a person who tries to deviate us from the truth and lead us down a false path? I certainly dont have any respect for a person like this.

Also, a person trying to, again, lead us from the true path of Christ and denying what he did for us is not disrespectful??? Not only is this disrespectful, its deceitful, dishonest and leading us down the wrong path… again.
