Did Saint Thomas Aquinas know more about God?

Indeed, we start dying from the moment we are born so at what point doe we noisily push the deathbed in across the floorboards?

To be honest I have always considered Aquinas to have had some sort of breakdown or burnout.
Pious legend has of course turned it into something deeply mystical. Maybe its both.
