This Covenant is not made with Sarah, but this Covenant Promise is made with Abraham.
I am sorry you misunderstand me. I did not say the covenant was with Sarah. (Though can Sarah in reality be excluded from the covenant, as wife if Abraham and mother of Isaac? God did change her name from Sarai to Sarah, indicating her special new role.)

Sarah is mother of Isaac, through whom the covenant passes.
Gen 17:19 God said, “No, but your wife Sarah shall bear you a son, and you shall name him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.
Gen 17:21 But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this season next year.”

Respectfully toward.

Opinion only respectfully toward but disagree with when studying what is a Covenant and a Covenant can have many separate Covenants within also?

Respectfully toward opinion only…The Covenant does not pass through Sarah, she received a >>>>Blessing from within the Covenant>>>>
If Abraham lives blameless and carries out all God commands him…

One>> Sarah will give birth to a son, she is now in old age, ninety years old, Sarah was childless and she desired greatly to give Abraham a son, why Sarah goes to Hagar? A great Blessing is given within God Covenant with Abraham>>> to Sarah she will bare a son >>>>>>>>>because of the Covenant God made with you …Abraham?

Second Blessing to Sarah<<<<<<<<<<< and through this Blessing given to her, she shall give rise to nations… kings of peoples shall come from her through this son…also a great Covenant will be made with also…right continue reading>>>>below

First Abraham is to name him next …Abraham I will establish my Covenant with him .Issac your son and with his offspring

17:15 19 " No, but your wife Sarah shall bear you a son and you shall name him Isaac. I Will establish my Covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him as an everlasting covenant with him.

Abraham is concerned, pleading with God what about Ishmeal what Blessing shall he receive? I keep reading…I have heard you Abraham etc…

17:20 As for Ishamael, I have heard you: I will bless him and make him fruitful and exceedingly numerous he shall be the father of 12 Princes and I will make him a a great nation.

But who will God;s Covenant continue to come through after Abraham? I continue reading…not talking about a blessing now Sarah received for herself…are we?

God is speaking right?
17: 21 "But my covenant I will establish with Issac…
Now who is the covenant of Abraham continue to be establish through>> with Issac, right?

A covenant is a contract which contains many this and that within, I will do this as long as you do that…Blessings will come be given only>>>>> when the the this and that is upheld by both …whom the Covenant is made with?

Does not a Covenant have many individual Covenants and Blessings within the One Covenant as written throughout OT?

Peace

Asking respectfully notice it reads…I will establish my covenant with him>>( Issac)> not with Sarah could of said with her Sarah? Notice the NO and the>> but>> also> God making it clear whom His Covenant will be establish and continue through Abraham Son his offspring of his flesh? Whom Abraham circumcised also? As a sign of his covenant between God & you ( Abraham seed his ) offspring?
I Will establish, not Sarah also? Sorry if my other post reply to, was so long. Have a hard time making my replies short and to the point I will try to work harder on that. Forgive me.>>>>> Peace 😐

Am I right that English is not your first language? The sentence above means two things: that the covenant passes from Abraham to Isaac; and that Sarah is the mother of Isaac. If you read it correctly you will see that you and I agree on those two points.

Respectfully opinion when reading word for word…
Abraham remaining blameless, obeyed, upheld and next circumcises his whole households his end within and called the Abraham Covenant, according to God’s instructions, right?

But God’s gives instruction generations that follow, how to obey, when they are to be circumcised
Genesis 17:12 Throughout your generations every male among you shall be circumcised when he is eight days old, including the slave born in your household and the one bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring, Both the slave born in your house an the one bought with your money must be circumcised"

Continued…Jesus was circumcised was he not on the eighth day?

Respectfully>>>I, Abraham failing to remain blameless not doing so no one receives anything right?.
Abraham Blessings Promise " You shall be the ancestor of a multitude of Nations, right?
Abraham whole Household… would be blessed for everlasting those who obeyed, be circumcised and continue to do so, right
Sarah, would be blessed with child, a son Issac which through him Nations will rise up after his offspring, right?
Issac His Blessing the Covenant would go through, be upheld, everlasting those who are circumcised?
Ishamel Blessing make him fruitful and exceedingly numerous, make a great Nation of him, right?
Genesis 17:26 "That very day Abraham and Ishmael were circumcised; and all the men of his household …etc

Genesis 17:9 God said to Abraham, As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations. This is my covenant you will keep, between you and me…every male among you shall be circumcised…

continue reading Genesis 17:14 " Any uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin shall be cut off from his people, he has broken my covenant"

Next…Genesis 17:15-16 " As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. I Will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. I Will Bless her and she will give rise to nations" That is a great blessing right?

Next Genesis 17:15-19 " No, but your wife Sarah shall bear you a son and you shall name him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as everlasting covenant for his offspring after him" God makes it clear whom this covenant will continue through right?

Next Genesis 17:20 As for Ishamel, I have heard you; I will bless him and make him fruitful and exceedingly numerous; he shall be the father of 12 princes, and I will make him a great Nation"

Next God makes it even clearer repeats whom it will go and continue through?
Genesis 17:21 “But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at the season next year” …notice the word…season next year?

Genesis 17:25 " And his son Ishmael was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin"
