Did Satan have the beatific vision?

I was told that once a person has the beatific vision in heaven then he cannot sin. Do the angels have the beatific vision? Can a person sin if he has the beatific vision? If the angels do have the beatific vision then how could Satan have “fallen” into evil?

Because someone admitted to the beatific vision cannot sin, Christian theologians speculate that the angels were also tested before beholding God face to face. The nature of this test is not known. Those angels who rejected God, including Satan, fell, and did not receive the beatific vision. The angels who chose God did enter into the beatific vision. Because of the nature of angels and because of their superior intelligence, their respective choices were permanent.
