Satan thru Peter tells Jesus in the garden he doesn’t have to die.
But then he enters Judas to get Jesus killed.
What DOES he want?

From what I understand in the Gospels, it’s not that he wants Jesus to be dead or alive, so much as ineffective.Satan thru Peter tells Jesus in the garden he doesn’t have to die.

I think Satan would have done anything to thwart Jesus.Satan wanted Jesus to turn his back on his father. You will recall that Satan tried to do the same with Job. Gods sole purpose is for us to know and love him. Satan’s sole purpose is for us to reject God and hate him.
That’s the general idea in each scenario. I doubt that he envisioned death being defeated on the Cross.Satan always wants to kill.
Noooo. It would be a far greater victory for Satan to cause the Son of God to sin by turning Him against His Father…then he would kill Him.yeah, but using Peter he was trying to save Jesus from death, no?
