I was just trying to find the thread discussing the offering Body Blood Soul and Divinity of Jesus , to His Father. Has it gone?

I wanted to add what is said in the Eucharist Liturgy at Mass. That explains why we can offer up this to God.

No Techno, can you link me please👌

We had a very small and special Mass last night, the Saturday Vigil Mass. In one of the rural churches, about 10 people only, and the retired Bishop.

He spoke of Thomas and how our group reminded him of those days where the faithful and the Apostles would gather in small groups like this.

And how the passage about Thomas in the Gospels is very important for establishing that the Apostles and early Christians believed that in the Passion and Resurrection, Jesus truly was who we know Him to be today. And in the early understanding of the Trinity.

Some other religions think it was a couple of centuries later that Catholics believed or understood that, So the Bishop Emeritus was talking on early understandings and the proof in Thomas.

And in the Eucharist Liturgy, as had been said by the Vicar general Priest that day during a Baptism Mass.

“Christ our Sacrificial Lamb”.

Meaning Christ was our Sacrifice on that Passover and in all Paschal Seasons to come. Ours to offer up to God.

He also incorporated Divine Mercy Feast for us in the Mercy Christ showed to Thomas who had to touch to believe.
It was possibly the most Special Mass I have attended.

There were only some interestingly decorated white robes in the cupboard , but the Bishop Emeritus wore them with Dignity. He was not standing on any ceremony in the rural church with us.

Thankyou Techno.

Did you know that we can earn Indulgences for those in Purgatory. I just read about this. 🙏

I remember the thread but forgot the title of it. I think it was the one where someone was questioning the wording and thinking it was wrong?

Thats the one. For some reason it’s been removed. It must have cut up rough while we were sleeping. 🙏

I am grateful for the person who questioned the wording. The questions led me to find out why and how we could say and own those offerings.
And an aside was finding out we can gain Indulgences for those in Purgatory, even strangers to us.

Hi roseeurekacross,

You can check to see if a post is still there on the forum by looking under the small white “Profile” link all of the way at the top of your screen page, and then clicking on that and then checking under “Subscribed Threads.”

You’ll see all of the threads that you’ve posted on there, in your posting history.

You can also check under the small white “Discuss” link that is all of the way at the top of your screen, and then scroll down and click on “My Posts.” You can then look at the posts that you posted on there, too.

I had also figured that it was taken down too since I didn’t see it in my posting history anymore.

I remember that the person was given many good answers, and he/she was still “stuck” in thinking he/she was right and the others were wrong. That saddened me.
