Did this saint deny the existence of Heaven or Hell?

[Hark]

I just read that Saint Otteran, after being buried alive under a church, came out of his grave one day to inform the congregation that there was neither Heaven nor Hell. Apperently, another saint was there and quickly reburied him because of what he was saying. A look at the Wikipedia page for this figure showed a similar story and even gave a feast day for him. Is this a real Saint? If so how could this story be compatible with his sainthood?

Its purely a legend of no veracity. The website Catholic Ireland calls it “an ugly tale of belief in foundation sacrifice…”

He is a real saint but this untrue legend is not part of his story.
