Did we have First Parents?

I was under the belief that the church, although accepting evolution even including man coming from something other than man, we can from one set of parents, not Polygenism .
I be interested in only the Church’s point of belief. Do we have an official document or statement after 1950 ? What has been written recently ?
The last encyclical I know of was Pope Pius XII
