From what I understand, a normal person cannot resist temptation without God’s grace. Therefore, if a person is baptised, he/she should be able to receive the grace to resist it. How many of you experience stronger resistance against temptation after your baptism?

I was baptized when I was 14 days old, so there’s no “before and after” for me. You’ll need some converts to give their experiences.

May His grace continue to shield you from evil and give you the strength to serve Him and the community. 🙏

A normal person can resist temptation, though. Baptised or not, God will not allow anyone to be tempted beyond ability, and therefore everyone already have the grace needed to resist temptation.

Just making the sign of the cross - brings stronger ‘resistance’ .
A simple prayer - brings it on.
The guardian angel prayer in particular.
The Saint Michael prayer.
Church going.

But to want to point at baptism - ? Really Parenthelo ?
Especially, when a Priest, way back then, held us as cute babies…
And all our relatives and family were gathered - smiling, photos, etc
And then celebrated the event afterwards with a good time.

Understood. 😊 Thanks my wonderful Seagull friend. 🤣

I was a baby. I do no remember how I felt after Baptism.
I do feel stronger after I go to confession and after I receive Communion.
I feel stronger after I pray the Rosary.

Someone told me - that the founts of Holy water, when entering church,
that when you dunk your finger in, and bless yourself,
is to remind you of your original baptism.

I don’t think this sort of mechanistic thinking is going to be helpful re appreciation of Christianity.
