In your life what is the most significant thing you have done for someone else?
My mom was a nurse for 32 years. Recently at her retirement party I ask her what was the highlight of her career thinking she would say she saved someones life. She said “I performed over 4000 baptisms and this is the first time I ever told anyone”. She said she quit counting a couple of years ago. She went on to tell me she would keep a small bottle of holy water in her locker and whenever someone was “in bad shape” she would find private moment and perform a simple baptism “just in case”. I guess she really did save a lot of someones lives.
