Didn’t confess a sin?

During the Absolution of my last Confession I remembered another sin. I tried to interrupt Father to mention it but he just kept going (he’s elderly and may not have heard me). I received Absolution and left without mentioning the sin. Was my confession valid?

And yes, I am scrupulous. 🙃 It’d still be a big help to know the answer.
 
It happens. More often than you know and throughout the history of the Church. Since we are bound by human nature it’s easy to forget a sin or two. This is why the examination of conscious has been a fundamental guide to making a good confession. I can’t tell you how good my memory is the day or night before going to confession then the second I step into the confessional my mind forgets that one sin. It’s jot deliberate- it just happens. Just make it a practice to meditate and examine your conscious more.
