Die Before Baptism?

Hello, everyone! I am currently in RCIA, and I will be baptized with my class around Easter 2010. If I were to die before then, would I go to hell? Thanks in advance!

In the Rite of Acceptance you make a public statement of your desire and intent to receive Baptism, from that point on your are a Catechumen.

A Catechumen who dies before they can receive Baptism is considered to have received “Baptism of Desire”

1258 The Church has always held the firm conviction that those who suffer death for the sake of the faith without having received Baptism are baptized by their death for and with Christ. This Baptism of blood, like the desire for Baptism, brings about the fruits of Baptism without being a sacrament.

1259 For catechumens who die before their Baptism, their explicit desire to receive it, together with repentance for their sins, and charity, assures them the salvation that they were not able to receive through the sacrament.

You do have a challenge until you are baptized in the faith however… try to lead a holy life.

Not that the temptations end afterward. To lift a phrase from a book I saw: After the Ecstasy, the Laundry.

OP: Pray for perseverance, both for yourself and for our priests and professed religious. After the exuberance of joining the Church, it is not uncommon to experience a let-down and after that, the times of dryness can come, too. Priesthood is like that, professed religious life is like that. Marriage is like that, too, and every other commitment to a great and demanding work. Be ready for that in your case, too. Do not let the tempter cool your ardor when the comfort of emotional excitement subsides.
