Another thread has prompted this question:
What, if any differences are there between the RC and EO’s “ethnic” churches. The Orthodox have Greek, Antiochan, etc. We have Melkite, Syrian,etc.
Are there theological differences between the EO churches? It is my understanding that most of the other rites within the catholic church adhere to the same magesterium, but it seems to me that I have heard that some Eastern catholic rites use the Orthodox creed.
Are there differences in terms of the reasons these various churches exist as they do? Do the CAtholic rites have variances in their magesterium than Latin Catholics? Do the various orthodox Churches?
