Thanks Pro Vobis:thumbsup:They also operate a parish outside Chicago (in Volo, Il) but it’s still within the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Is Volo even on the map? Thanks Pro Vobis:thumbsup:
I never heard of Volo Illinois, I am trying to research the place now.

I always thought of the town as a short diagonal street between Rte 12 and Rt 120. Known more for their Antique Autos than anything else. It’s basically in the farmlands and you can see St. Peter’s, though a rather small but beautiful church, from quite a distance. Is Volo even on the map?
Leave it to the Canons to find some corner of the USA that was lost. LOL

Two sort-of-flippant but funny comments I heard, germane to this topic.
The FSSP priest, when asked about the ICRSS by a potential vocation, says “you need a foundation in the priesthood, not a foundation of lace!”
The ICRSS priest, approached by the same man asking about the FSSP, says, “Oh the fraternity … they have a great devotion to Our Lady of Low Mass.”
I find both to have some truth, but obviously they are just jokes. I love both groups!
