Different religions and what God REALLY intended!

I had a conversation with my mother yesterday while visiting her (oh please pray for her because they may think she might have bone cancer! )about religions and different beliefs.

I wanted her opinion so I asked her why there were so many religions and different beliefs, etc. how can you find truth with that, etc. and she told me that it would be boring if there was just one religion. It’s the different people and beliefs that makes the world! I told her that’s fine but did God really intend to have all these religions and all or did God want ONE TRUTH! I know she knows that Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:6) and said it again to let her know what I was getting at. I can’t remember what she said!

Okay, now my question is, did God REALLY intend all these different religions, whether inside Christianity or outside Christianity? I told my mom too about where Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations (Matthew something can’t remember the passage) because He is the Truth. If God did let’s say intend different religions, than that sounds to me like we should just leave others alone to their own “religion”. Do I make sense?

I know God gave us a free will but were we stupid enough to make different beliefs? I’m not trying to sound like I’m saying other religions are stupid, NO, my point is, is this what God intended because if He did, I’ll shut my yap about it! If He didn’t intend it, then we should go “make diciples of all nations”.

I would say that God probably does not hate people who belong to other Churches and Religions, but loving all of mankind there is a desire on the part of Jesus that those that follow him, in particular all Christians, be united in the one Church which he founded. He built his Church, singular, on the rock that was Peter.

Yes, different rites in Communion with the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church are much different than other religions.

In this prayer, offered to the father the night befor the crucifiction, Jesus prayed for a visible supernatural unity in his Church, as illustrated by the repetition of the phrase, “so that they may be one.”

James 5:16 “The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.”

Jesus is perfectly righteous.

How can Protestantism be His “church” when Protestant was nothing but disentegration, splintering, not unified, a frightening proliferation of squabbling, competing denominations, many masquerading under the title “non-denominational.”

Was His prayer for the unity of His Church realized? YES!!

The answer is in the Catholic Church.

Jesus prayed for unity. He established the Church on Peter. He said the gates of hell would not prevail over his Church. He does not lie!!

There are as many problems or untruths in Catholicism as there are in many other religions. I’m sorry for being so harsh but it makes me sick to read such arrogance. It is CHRIST’S church not yours. The Catholic Church is your organization, not Christ’s church. Your quote about other religions is the same reason there problems in the Catholic church,

No, the CC IS Christ’s Church! There were NEVER Protestantism or other nondenoms that existed 2,000 years ago.
