Although the following table does not discuss what caused the differences between the three groups, it is a summary of some of the key differences:could anybody explain to me simply the differnce between catholcs, orthodocs and Protestants in clear points and the cause of that Division
ill give it a shot with my highschool educated mind my friend. simply put, Martin Luther was one of the first to break away from the Catholic Church, although at the outset, this was not his intent. he simply felt the need to to reform the Church from within, from what he perceived to be abuses. indulgences and such. he also believed that faith alone was enough to make it into heaven. we as Catholics of course do not believe it is of faith alone, but faith and obedience. as can be found in the book of James and many other places in the Gospels from Jesus himself. hope this is a good start for you. there is more to add, we have not even gotten to Calvin yet. lol! Peace to you and yours. and welcome to CAF.pleeaase, clear points

Without knowing how much background knowledge you have that’s impossible, especially since there is nothing clear about it.pleeaase, clear points
What… didn’t you know we where known as the “ortho-docs”…Orthodocs?
That’s news - Is that in your spirituality or just professional knowledge among the Orthodox? I suppose that would make Orthodox better orthopaedic surgeons than others. What… didn’t you know we where known as the “ortho-docs”…![]()
Good videos, thanksI’ll attach 3 documentary clips - each of them are about 28 minutes long
So, if you have 1 hour & a 1/2 to spare, it covers Orthodox Christianity, from beginning to current.

There is no equivalent of a Pope in Orthodoxy, and never has been. Each Orthodox Church has its own leader, although actual power is held by what’s called the “Holy Synod”, a group of senior bishops who have ultimate decision making power.who is the pope of orthodox nowadays ?
