It hasn’t quite been a month since DH’s vasectomy (against my wishes), but perhaps it was the HS who laid it on my heart to start a monthly novena to St. Joseph for him. He had his vasectomy on the 9th of the month and my birthday also falls on the 9th in the coming months (ouch!). But I feel somewhat comforted in knowing the meaning behind novena is 9 and feeling called to answer evil with good prayer. I am going to aim for the first through the ninth of each month, but I’m not going to make myself crazy if I fail b/c I am HORRIBLE w/ finishing novenas.
I’m praying that we both, along with our children, will find greater devotion to and satisfaction in our marriage, family and home which has been very stale and lacking in affection.
