Difficulty doing little things with great love

So I have a bit of a devotion to Saint Therese of Lisieux, and have been trying to follow her Little Way, but I’ve been having difficulty with doing little things with great love for God. Specifically, whenever I try to do something, I immediately forget God, and just focus on getting it done for the sake of getting it done. Yesterday, I realized that this has been a problem since my childhood, I have often been simply going through the motions of life ever since I was young. (Not with everything, I was a wide-curious kid, but when it came to family especially, and other things, I often just went through the motions without caring.)

I really need to work on doing little things with great love for God, and I need prayers for help with working on this. Tomorrow I’m going to make a batch of Traditional Soul Cakes, and I’m hoping to offer up the work into making them for the intentions of any and all ancestors in purgatory. Please pray that I keep this in mind when I get to work on this.
