Don’t slouch on couch.
Set up the room you are in so you can easily follow regular body movements with the Mass.
Sit, stand, kneel, hand gestures
Turn off all other distractions
Get to ā€˜Church’ early
Don’t be arriving by the seat of your pants

You’re not ā€œrequiredā€ to watch a livestream Mass, and I’m comfortable to posit that He is pleased with your effort.
We’re not used to this new reality, we’re all just figuring it out.

I’m seeing myself more and more like a little child, just placing my very soul in my Father’s hands.

Maybe this crisis will encourage more churches to invest in the equipment necessary to live stream in the future.
I hope so. Our church had an adequate system, and I was watching live Masses. They they switched to a different service–cheaper, I suppose–and the wheels came off. First, I couldn’t see the live stream. Then, I heard that they lost the last one-third of a Mass. Well, I still can’t see the live stream, but I can watch the videos of Masses. I just can’t hear them. True, our father doesn’t have a booming voice, but before, the video and the audio were good, and now I can’t see live, and I can’t hear very well at all, even with the sound all the way up. So, I have been tuning in to the diocese live Mass, instead, which works well.

I feel so bad about the Easter vigil service not being held this year. I said I would always attend it, since I had been one of the candidates a few years ago. I couldn’t imagine what it would take to keep me from going to the Easter vigil Mass. Well, I guess I found out just what it would take. 😄
