My husband and I got married back at the end of last year. We had bought a house a few months before that. However, we had separate rooms. I knew that once we got married we would need to move into the same room. However, I didn’t really think about it. Then we got married and tried to sleep in the same bed for like a week. I just couldn’t settle. We also had problems with the curtains in our room, and the room was too bright as a result. Shortly after this, I became extremely ill, and I moved back into the guestroom so as not to wake my husband during the night. I slept in the guestroom for six months.
Two weeks ago we finally fixed the window issue, so the room is dark. And I am doing better so don’t have to get up so much during the night. Therefore, husband and I have now been sleeping in the same bed for the past few weeks. And, while it is nice to have him beside me, I just don’t sleep as well. I like to take over a bed and feel like I have space and room to move (even if it only a single bed), and I can’t do that as I don 't want to accidentally kick him or something. Then, I am a tosser/turner and I worry about waking him up. I also feel like I can’t get up to go to the toilet in case I wake him, and that again is not a very relaxing feeling. I actually have my best sleep of the night when he gets up for work and I am left alone for another few hrs to sleep on in the bed all alone.
I know we need to stay sleeping in the same bed as a) we are married now and b) if we are blessed with kids, we can’t have them seeing us sleep in separate rooms. So I know I have to fix this somehow. I can’t talk to any of my friends about this either because they all talk about how they can’t sleep when their husbands are away and how wonderful it it to share a bed. I feel like a freak, so I keep quiet. Also, it’s not just my husband. I’ve hated when I had to share a bed with friends, siblings or any of that.

The conjugal bed is an invention of the Roman Catholic Church. By her doctrine she promotes the fact of sleeping in the same bed and or at least in the same bedroom. The conjugal bed is very important for the marriage, for the couple and for each member of couple. *It is a right and an obligation of means. * The conjugal bed has to be the principle, the fact of not sleeping the same bed has to be the exception and has to stay the exception. We do not have to exchange the rule, the principle stays principle, and the exception stays the exception: not more and not less.
Each member of the couple has to make efforts and sacrifices for sharing the same bed (the conjugal bed). At least, the chamber of each one has to have a free access for the other.:** to have a conjugal key.** The conjugal love means the sharing of life in all the details: the mutual, reciprocal, bilateral, equal and equitable donation and the mutual, reciprocal, bilateral, equal and equitable reception of persons (body, soul and heart). Sharing the bed, sharing the lunch, sharing the dinner, sharing the spiritual love, sharing the carnal love, sharing the physiological fluids, sharing the affective love, sharing the sensible love… are very important.
At least, the bedroom of each member of the couple has to have a free access 24/24 and 7/7 in order to permit the other to enter, to stay and more, in the conjugal way.
Some conjugal talks, some conjugal prayers, some conjugal attempts, some conjugal efforts, some conjugal sacrifices have to be done in order to know if that is objectively impossible or too much difficult of sharing the same bed or the same bedroom. Only, particular reasons are morally acceptable for not justifying the sharing of the conjugal bed.
