Diffrent Rites?

I was reading the thread “Strange Comment by Pope Benidict XVI” and Br. Rich SFO said, “We currently have 23 other Eastern Churches in communion with Rome some of which have different theology but all agree with Rome in Doctrine.”. Most of ya’ll know I am just know I am soon entering the Catholic Church and I find this to be a bit confusing.Would someone be a so kind as to please explain this to me?
