Is the dignity of the human person something that is taught or emphasized amongst evangelical/fundamentalist christians?

Based on my own experiences having grown up in evangelical/fundamentalist circles, I would say yes. Of course there’s nothing in such circles like a compendium of social teaching that articulates the dignity of the human person as the fundamental principle of Christian social teaching, but I would say that in general, evangelical/fundamentalist Christians hold to the belief that all people are created in the image of God and that their inherent dignity is tied to that fact.

Thanks. The ones I have spoken with stress the depravity of people, and I wondered if dignity of the human person through Christ only extended to whom they call the “Elect.” I trust your explanation, as you have experience with the movement.
