In addition to what Dorothy said.
May His peace be with you always!
Thatâs wonderful that you do all of those things. Here is something more, though:I go to Mass every Sunday, sometimes on a weekday, I pray the Rosary, Adore the Eucharist and still nothing. Everyone else gets a blessing and I get nothing. I do everything that is asked of me and still nothing to my best ability. What good is it? Can you tell me that? I earn nothing. Salvation, yes. But what good is it to have the desire to serve a God that wonât let you serve. Just wait and wait and wait and wait. After 20 years of prayer and fasting and watching everyone else be blessed one can really feel unloved.
Doing all those things is great, but remember that the most important thing in building a relationship with God is love. And if you want a better definition of loveâŚHe [Jesus] said, âYou shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all you being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.â Luke 10:27
Love will wait for God because it is always patient.Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
May His peace be with you always!
