Dinner with the Bishop

My question doesn’t seem to fit nicely into any particular category, but it ended up here.

Background: I’m a non-Catholic married to a Catholic. My wife has been working on a rather lengthy project at the parish where I attend Mass with her every week. The project has reached a successful conclusion and there will be a small celebratory dinner at the rectory tomorrow night. (By “small” I mean no more than 10 -15 people.) I have been invited to attend. The bishop will also be in attendance.

My question: How do I address him?

So, “Your Excellency?”

Does the fact that I am not Catholic make any difference? I don’t want to disrespect the guy, but I don’t want venture where a non-Catholic shouldn’t go either. Just trying to avoid a faux pas in general.

I’ve worked with and around priests for many years, have never heard this one!
 
Ah, family custom. Might want to preface with that in the future: "I was raised not to call a priest ‘sir’ ".
 
Honestly, if you don´t talk over him or intruduce him to others, do you have to adress him in any way? I mean, I don´t speak to my profs like “professor X, how was the travel” but “How was the travel” 😉
But I agree with bishop.
 
As it happens, one of the other gentlemen there was a big-time conversation hog. Other than saying, “Pleased to meet you” when introduced, I didn’t have occasion to speak to him again.
