Thank you Deacon John. I would like to discuss the issue of the ontological change in line with the inability to contract sacramental marriage. In my limited education in canon law this particular question was asked of the canon law professor (who was a jurist himself) and his response is that the canon (as you cited) was establised because there was a question concerning the right of a laicized person who had received Orders. In his estimation the law was affirming a theological reality.
