I recall a Jesuit in college noting that in their motor pool, some cars were general use, and some were assigned to Jesuits who need them for their specific duties–and that the assigned cars were generally far cleanerBoth my own Order and the Jesuits ascribe to this view of poverty.

(I think it was the one that had taken over the former phone switching room for his model trains. Many former students and others made sure to give him track and such

And the brother assigned to my parish belongs to an order that recently had their personal stipend increased from $20 to $40.
