I posted on this subject but didn’t get any answers…does anyone know anything about the liturgical situation in the Diocese of Boise? My wife and I are thinking of moving there. I’m particularly interested in the Cathedral.

Thanks,

Adam

Although I don’t have any personal knowledge of the Boise area, I’d suggest a visit to masstimes.org. You can get information on specific parishes in the area you’re considering for your move. You might also visit the diocese’s website. Many times, what’s presented and how it’s presented will give you some hints. In addition, many dioceses have an online version of their diocesan newspaper. Reading through it may give you a sense of the ecclesial climate.

Hope that helps some.

Signs of an active Sacramental parish life would include scheduled Adoration hours ( 7x24 always a plus) and more than just Saturday afternoon scheduled hours for Confessions.

I participated in a weekday morning mass at the Cathedral there last year May enroute to Oregon. The Rector celebrated and the liturgy was fine and orthodox, everything was very reverent. And they had Adoration after.
