From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Short Responsory
Proclaim to the nations the glory of the Lord.

Speak of his wonderful deeds to all the peoples.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
– Proclaim to the nations the glory of the Lord.
 
Praying that the Lord will give you guidance on you journey through life.
 
Oh my God, You know my weakness and failings, and that without Your help I can accomplish nothing for the good of souls, my own and others’. Grant me, therefore, the help of Your grace. Grant it according to my particular needs this day. Enable me to see the task You will set before me in the daily routine of my life, and help me work hard at my appointed tasks. Teach me to bear patiently all the trials of suffering or failure that may come to me today. Amen.
 
PRAYER FOR
THE GIFT TO SEEK GOD
AND LIVE IN HIM.
Father, in your goodness
grant me the intellect to comprehend you,
the perception to discern you,
and the reason to appreciate you.
In your kindness endow me
with the diligence to look for you,
the wisdom to discover you,
and the spirit to apprehend you.
In your graciousness
bestow on me a heart to contemplate you,
ears to hear you,
eyes to see you,
and a tongue to speak of you.
In your mercy confer on me a conversation pleasing to you,
the patience to wait for you,
and the perseverance to long for you.
Grant me a perfect end,
your holy presence.

Lord, send your Holy Spirit to denwiles and guide him and put a good priest in his path that can offer him some spiritual direction. May denwiles not be afraid to approach his Pastor and ask him for guidance. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Do not look forward to the changes and chances of this life with fear. Rather, look to them with full confidence that, as they arise, God to whom you belong will in his love enable you to profit by them. He has guided you thus far in life. Do you but hold fast to His dear hand, and He will lead you safely through all trials. Whenever you cannot stand, He will carry you lovingly in his arms.
Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow. The same Eternal Father who takes care of you today will take care of you tomorrow, and every day of your life. Either He will shield you from suffering or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.

Be at peace then, and put aside all useless thoughts, all vain dreads and all anxious imaginations.
