I have received threatening communications designed to intimidate me from writing or making posts that portray Robert Latimer in a negative light. Therefore, I am republishing an earlier article in fuller detail about the Robert Latimer case, complete with references.

I don’t submit to any form of intimidation or threats. **

Excerpts on who Robert Latimer is:

On October 24th 1993, Canadian farmer Robert Latimer decided it was time to kill his twelve-year old daughter. Tracy had cerebral palsy due to a lack of oxygen during her birth; she had undergone three successful surgeries to improve her quality of life. A fourth surgery was planned to ease pain from a dislocated hip. Despite the remarkable success of previous surgeries, her parents were horrified at the prospect of a fourth, and Robert Latimer decided to take matters into his own hands…

…Robert Latimer planned his daughter’s murder for close to two weeks. He considered administering a drug overdose, or shooting Tracy in the head, but he finally settled on gassing her to death. (End of the road, kid.) On a bright sunny Sunday his wife, Laura, and their other children went to church, leaving Tracy at home with Robert. He murdered her with exhaust fumes from his truck.

Continuing to post without identifying the perpetrator or ensuring the behavior has stopped will likely incite more harrassment.

I had the same attitude when I was a young’un and it got me and my family death threats, with the perpetrator knowing the names of my family, where we lived, daily activities, etc.

Yes, if the blogger has had his property, or loved ones or himself threatened with physical harm he should definitely contact the authorities and turn over the threats. This is nothing to mess with, requiring and deserving the protection of the law.

If by “threaten” he means harassment, I am not sure where Canadian law stands on this matter.

What Robert Latimer did was nothing short of pre-meditated murder and he should be held accountable. Shame on him for murdering his daughter and shame on his wife for going along with it! We are to protect our children from monsters, not become one ourselves! His daughter was facing a 4th surgery? I know kids who’ve had over 100. My own daughter has just had her 27th. No sumpathy here and kudos to you for not backing down because of threats. Call the police on that one. Threats are illegal, too. God bless the handicapped!
