I like that metaphor of putting the rocks we carry around with us down and leaving them behind. I’ve also heard it said that we can take these things to Christ at his altar as a sacrifice and leave them there. That’s one thing I really love about the Mass - the fact that we approach God at the altar and bring him our cares, hopes and prayers. It’s so biblical to approach God in this way, isn’t it? God’s people have always come to him, bringing their sacrifices to the altar. It seems that protestants, and mormons right along with them, have done away with this entirely.

I love that part of the Mass!! It is so special to me coming from a faith that puts all the sorrow on the individual and discounts Christ’s saving sacrifice.
There are many Mormons that were good to me and I love them for the example they set. I remember those times when the anger comes. The good things lighten our load the bad weighs us down and fortunately for you, I we have a place to unload them now.

God bless
