Discerning if I should receive the Eucharist today

Hey guys,

Mass is in about 40 mins and I am trying to discern if I should receive. I know pornography is a grave sin. I pulled it up twice this week but almost immediately closed it. On it less that 3 seconds. Would this be the near occasion of sin, venial, or mortal. I know I should confess it as it is at least the near occasion of sin. Ive long struggled with it but dont know if pulling it up then closing it out is enough to be mortal sin.Should I receive today or not? Ive already repented of it im my heart but dont want to receive innapropiately.

That said, Sirach also talks about how it is easier not to stumble in the first place if you avoid “the paths of ruin.” (Sirach 32:25).

So figure out some non-sinful sites to visit instead! Create good habits to replace bad ones, and create good rewards for yourself to replace bad temptations.

You done good. Glorify and thank the Lord Who saved you by receiving Communion.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Lacking full consent in something like this would be that it was an ad or mistyped address.

Personally, I live by this code:

When in doubt - don’t receive.

However, I do not suffer with scruples so I do not doubt often.

It is your choice. If you are not sure about it being a sin then most likely it is not mortal. But if you will continue to think about it and it will bother you and cause more scruples just don’t recieve
